James Elmer Carter, 93, of Florence, passed away on June 15, 2008.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Stan Dean officiating. Burial followed.
The family received friends on that day from 11 until 12 pm at the funeral home.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Edna Boyd Carter of Florence; his daughters, Shirley Carter Lemay of Athens, AL and Jo Anne Carter Eubanks and husband Dan of Selmer, TN; his brother, Monroe Roberts and wife Georgia of Athens, AL; his grandchildren, Keith and Jeri Lemay, Devils Tower, NY, Beth and Holly Lemay of Athens, AL, Dana Eubanks Welty and husband George of Memphis, TN, Anna Eubanks Barber and husband Brad of Memphis, TN,; his great-grandchildren Grace, Austin, and Marian Barber, and Brendan Welty, all of Memphis, TN; and numerous neices and nephews.
