James Edward Fike Town Creek
Funeral for James Edward Fike, 72, of Town Creek, will be Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Holy Church of Christ with Bro. Jimmy Fuller, Bro. Buddy Fuller and Bro. Waymon Ashley officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Elliott Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Town Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Fike, who died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, was born April 10, 1938, in Lawrence County to Roy and Willene Fike. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Holy Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Annie Lee Fike; one son, Dale Fike; and one grandson, Christopher Tippett.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Effie Fike; one son, Danny Fike (Belinda), Moulton; four daughters, Regina Marlar (Donald), Leighton, Glenda West (Robbie), Courtland, Donna Melson (Darrin), Moulton, and Cathy Timmons (Chris), Mount Hope; five brothers, Billy Fike, John Fike, Charles Fike, Waymon Fike and Laverle Fike and five sisters, Lorene Ashley, Margie Vaughan, Peggy McMurray, Shelia Raney and Pam Jefferies; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ashley, Matthew McCollum, Shane McCollum, Michael Fike, Jason Fike, Joe Fike, Brad Vaughan and Darrell Little.
