James Floyd Franks

James Floyd Franks, age 62, was born August 4, 1952, and passed away on April 10, 2015. James was born in Madison County and lived his life in Limestone County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Robert Franks and Earline Craig Franks; also by two brothers, Robert Franks and Randall Wayne Franks.
James is survived by one brother, John Russell Franks (Mae), of Rome, Georgia; four sisters, Linnie Webster (Charles), of Capshaw, Louella Hargrave, of Madison, Joy Balch (Bobby), of Capshaw, Linda Loschke (Paul), of Dewey, Arizona; and one sister-in-law, Jonine Franks, of Madison. James is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who loved him dearly.
James was employed by The Decatur Daily, delivering papers for approximately 20 years, where he made many acquaintances that he enjoyed working with. He also met many doctors, nurses, and medical personnel that he cared for deeply and appreciated all they did for him throughout his life. He had many friends and neighbors he cherished and that he considered part of his family.
James was well loved and will be truly missed by many, as he lived his life with a heart of gold that will never be forgotten.
A graveside service will be today at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Town Creek, with Ricky Lowery officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
