Mr. James H. Garner, age 78 of Loretto, passed away on September 16, 2025 surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 22 at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence from 11-12. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation and will begin at 12. The burial will be held at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Garner was a jack-of-all-trades and entrepreneur that loved to work in his garage. He was a proud member of the Freemasons Pheonix Lodge #123 F&A.M.

Mr. Garner also served in the United States Marines.

Mr. Garner is survived by his children, Kendra Johnson (Steve), and Jon Garner (Barbie); grandchildren, Jon Garner (Racheal), Wesley Johnson, Rebecca Johnson, and Sydney Garner; great-grandchildren, Noah Garner, Harper Kindermann and Opal Garner. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Garner; and parents, James and Lucille Garner.

Pallbearers will be Jon Garner, Ethan Gray, Tyler Matthews, Matt Staggs, Wesley Johnson, and Micah Kappeler. Noah Garner will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
