Funeral for Jim Hedges, 64, will be Sunday, December 18, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Beltline Church of Christ with Dr. Steve Chandler officiating. Burial will be at Burningtree Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Hedges, who died Friday, December 16, 2011, at Decatur General, was born March 12, 1947 in Henry County Hospital in Tennessee. He worked for Decatur General Hospital for over 40 years, was a member of Beltline Church of Christ, and was a coach for Dixie Youth Baseball. Survivors include his wife, Jenny Hedges; one son, Bryan Hedges; three daughters, Shannon McCampbell (Paul), Julie Burleson (Mike), and Jenna Hedges; one sister, Martha Andrews; four grandchildren, Paula Holtzlander, Samantha Amos, Reed Hedges, Riley Burleson; and one great grandchild, Lyric Holtzlander.
