Mr. James Herschel Kilburn, age 82 of Florence, passed away on March 15, 2026.

Mr. Kilburn was a charismatic man who was loved by everyone. He was very chatty and loved to tell stories to anyone who would listen. He enjoyed visiting the beach and spending time in the sun and the sand and had many hobbies including woodworking and photography. He was a hardworking man that always provided for his family.

Most importantly he was a fantastic father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry W. Kilburn of Florence; sons, James Timothy Kilburn of Florence and Christopher Kilburn (Mark Stone) of England; grandchildren, Courtney R, Perez of Louisianna, Danielle Kibodeux of Texas, and James Justin Kilburn of Louisianna; and great-grandchildren, Jace and Emma Kibodeux of Texas, and Skyla Bergeaux and Caleb James Kilburn of Louisianna.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elaine Rikard Kilburn; and parents, Gladys and Herschel Kilburn.
