James Everett Poole, 85, of Florence died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 12:30-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel, with Bro. Kenneth Davis officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Mr. Poole was a native of Lauderdale County. He retired from Reynolds Alloys. He served during WWII in the US Army. He is survived by his special friend, Janice Killen; half-sister, Betty Sue May; half-brother, Jimmy Poole; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Wooten, Jim Evans, Jason Dobbs, Jimmy McCullum, Jim McCullum, Allen Jones, and James Senn. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders at Wood Avenue Church of Christ and Tammy Irons.
