Funeral for James Coy Smith, 75, of Trinity will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel with Mike Owens officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Smith, who passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010, was born September 23, 1934, in Morgan County to Fred and Ruby Smith. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years. He was a common fixture at Southern Style Barbecue.
Survivors include one son, Tim Smith and wife, Shannon; one daughter, Michon Christoffersen and husband, Jim; and five grandchildren, Christine, Lucas, J.R., Ethan and Laura Grace.
