Thursday, November 08, 2018, marks the beginning of eternity for James Edgar "Spunk" Beshears.

Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018, 5-9 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  Funeral services will be Saturday, November 10, 2018, 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Lexington with Bro. Jeff Cruse officiating.  A graveside service will be at 2 PM at Madison Cemetery.

Mr. Beshears served in the US Navy.  He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Lexington.  He was retired from Alabama Tennessee Natural Gas Company as superintendent of operations. He was owner and operator of Beshears Greenhouse.

Mr. Beshears was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nellie Beshears; sister, Virgie Beshears; brother, Arthur Beshears.

Mr. Beshears is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Morris Beshears; daughters, Renai Darracott (Ernie) and Lisa Renner (Bob); son, Jimmy Beshears (Linda); grandchildren, Blake Beshears, Russ Darracott, Ashley Beshears, Ryan Darracott (Caroline), and Jennifer Renner; great-grandchildren, Khloe Beshears, Kaden Cruz, and Gabriella Cruz.

Pallbearers will be Russ Darracott, Ryan Darracott, Mack Morris, Mitchell Lee, Issac McGee, Blake Beshears, and Fred Morris.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lindell and Wanda Newton.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the FBC Building Fund 301 Taylor-Kizer Street Lexington, Alabama 35648, are requested.
