James "Jim" Wesley Pendley's Obituary
Mr. James "Jim" Wesley Pendley age 88 of Rogersville, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from Noon till 2:00 P.M. at Elkins East Chapel. Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel with Andy Erwin officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbears will be family and friends.
Mr. Pendley was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Christeen Pendley.
He is survived by his children, Ricky Pendley and wife, Elizabeth of Valley Grande, Al., Cynthia George and husband, Dennis of Alvaton, Ky. Three grandchildren, Caleb George of Bowling Green, Ky., Hannah King (Kyle) of Bowling Green, Ky., and Amy Clements (Jamie) of Memphis, Tenn. Two great-grandchildren, Eli and Jacob Clements.
James "Jim" was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ of Killen, Alabama. He was a WW II veteran and served as commander of American Legion Post Number 11 of Florence, Alabama. He retired from Reynolds Metal as a research chemist. Jim enjoyed farming.
