James (Jim) Hearn Wilson, affectionately known as "Big Daddy", 82,  formerly of Mobile, and presently a retired resident of Florence, died Sunday, March 15, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius Hearn (Tug) and Evelyn Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Autery Wilson; son, Jamie Wilson; daughter, Heidi Vacik (Josh); granddaughters, Sophia Katherine, Anna Isabelle, and Lucia Jane Wilson Vacik.

Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Baker High School Marion Military Institute and University of Alabama.  He worked and retired as a Civil Engineer.  He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Florence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Elkins Funeral Home, Florence is assisting the family.
