Mrs. Jane Francis Dinges, 80, of Killen, died peacefully at home on April 1, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2010 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The funeral celebration will follow at 12:30 pm with Father Andy Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael''s Cemetery. Mrs. Dinges was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Earl Dinges Jr. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and pet Buddy. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, AEA and Delta Kappa Gamma. She spent many years as a dedicated educator of children at Saint Joseph Catholic School and Powell Elementary School, until her retirement. Survivors include her children: Stephen Dinges and wife Linda, Linda Romine and husband Skip, Robert Dinges and wife Debbie; grandchildren: Andrew Dinges and wife Taylor, Jeffrey Dinges, Rachel Dinges, Adam Dinges and wife Samantha, Ashley Sealy and husband Michael, Alex Dinges, Fredrick DeLoach and Donald DeLoach; and great-grandchild: Tyler Bennett Dinges. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Christine Gessner of Warwick, RI. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will include granddaughters, Ashley and Rachel. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Amanda Moore, Hospice of the Shoals, Dr. Webb, all the friends and neighbors of Beech Hollow Rd., Killen Rescue Squad and to Father Andy Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in Mrs. Dinges'' memory to St. Joseph School Foundation, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or Hospice of the Shoals.
