Janet Elaine Parrish Dowdy, 69 of Sheffield passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.  She was a native of Waterloo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00 in the funeral home chapel with Sonny Owens officiating.  Interment will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emmett and Carlos Smith Parrish; sisters, Carolyn Gray and Linda Dean.

Survivors include her husband, Roy D. Dowdy, Sr.; son, Roy David Dowdy, Jr. (Mechelle); siblings, Emma Jean Diviney, Randy D. Parrish (April) and Billy W. Weaver; several nieces and nephews.
