Obituary

Jean Keen Coleman was born in Weir, MS on October 20, 1930. Her parents were Ruth Ramsey Keen and Tyndal Richard Keen. She graduated from Big Black High School in Kilmichael, MS in 1947. On May 19, 1956 she married Harris Leflore Coleman of Greenwood, MS. Their lives together took them to several homes in the southeast. In May 2011, they moved into assisted living in Merrill Gardens in Florence, AL. She moved once more on October 20, 2011 to a more wonderful place in heaven with her Lord, Jesus Christ.
She was a well-loved member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, MS where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Her pastor in her last days has been Reverend Randy Thompson of First Presbyterian Church in Tuscumbia, AL.
She is survived by her husband Harris Coleman of Florence, AL; her son, Harris Coleman, Jr. of Memphis, TN; her daughter, Elizabeth and her husband Dr. Keith Thompson of Florence, AL; and two beloved granddaughters, Rebekah and Hannah Grace Thompson of Florence, AL.
