Funeral for Jerry W. Campbell, 71, from Decatur will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, with full Military Honors. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Campbell, who died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born on April 9, 1942 in South Carolina to Wesley and Virginia Campbell.
Mr. Campbell served in the U. S. Army for 20 years and was a Vietnam Vet. He worked for USA OMMCs for 27 years. He was the Department Director of the EOD Training Department at retirement.
He is survived by his wife Donna Shaffer Campbell; Son Wes Campbell; Granddaughter, Chyanne Campbell; Grandson Brenden Campbell; two brothers, Clarence Campbell and Richard Campbell; three sisters, Cathy Campbell, Becky Buchanna and Earlene Hicks.
