Decatur Funeral for Jerry R. Garrett, age 66, who died Friday, October 16, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown Service with Rev. Hollis Retherford officiating with burial at New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Garrett was born to Levi and Dean Garrett. He was a member of Local Electrical Union #558.
Surviors include long time companion Ms. Willard Ellenburg; two sons, Jerry L. Garrett and wife, Lindy, Stephen Garrett and wife, Stacy; one daughter, Stephanie Landsdell; one brother, Leo Garrett; one sister, Martha Cottingham; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
