Jerry Lindon Michael, 66, of Killen died Friday, March 09, 2012, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, March 10, 2012, 4-8PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 11, 2012, 2PM at Elkins East Chapel, with Bro. Ronnie Jones officiating. Burial will be at Killen Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Sylvia Michael. He was a member of First Baptist Church Center Star, he retired from Champion Paper Mill, and he loved fishing, cooking, community fundraisers, and the Brooks Farm. Mr. Michael is survived by his lifetime love, Linda Michael; two daughters, Nanette Hice (Doug) and Ramona Olsen (Billy); son, Anthony Michael (Dana); six grandchildren, Kristina Hice, Thomas Heflin, Jessica Hice, Justin Olsen, Austin Michael, and Logan Michael; four sisters, Virginia Lovell, Linda Sharp, Gloria Michael, and Shelia Redding (Danny); brother, Delbert Michael (Brenda); multiple nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Thomas Heflin, Justin Olsen, Austin Michael, Logan Michael, Brad Brooks, Tim Livingston, Joe Marshall, Melvin (Smooth) Parker. The family would like to express their thanks to Killen-Center Star Ambulance Service, 6th floor staff at ECM Hospital, Dr. Wilkes, Northwest Alabama Cancer Center, Bethesda Cancer Center, Dr. Wampler, Dr. Matthews, everyone who brought food and for the many prayers during his sickness.
