Jerry Wallace, 61, of Florence, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
The funeral will be Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Jerry was an active member of the Underwood Baptist Church and worked for many years at Jim Bishop Chevrolet. He was an avid sports fan and officiated at football, baseball and basketball games. He especially liked the Braves, Alabama football, and the Titans. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father W.L. Wallace, and brother Bill Wallace.
Jerry is survived by his wife Nancy Fanning Wallace; daughter Traci Willis and husband Shawn, Muscle Shoals; son Trent Wallace and wife Claudia, Franklin, TN; grandchildren Erin and Caleb Willis and Olivia and Nikolas Wallace; mother Helen Wallace, Florence; brother Jimmie Wallace and wife Margie, Madison, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Darby, Robert Brewer, Joey Crumbley, Bud Lemmond, Lanny Bruce and Danny Wylie.
