Jessie Mae Morrison Jackson, age 81, of Killen, passed away on Monday May 17, 2010.
Funeral services will be on Friday May 21, 2010 at 1 pm in the chapel of Elkins Funeral Home in Florence with Rev. David McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday May 20, 2010 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson was retired from the Lauderdale County School System. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Killen and a longtime member of the Eastern Star, Killen Chapter # 328 where she served as a past Grand Representative to Montana. Mrs. Jackson is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jackson; her parents, Thomas L. and Pearl Morrison; and her brothers, Clyde and Thomas Morrison.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her brothers, Paul Morrison and wife Shirley of Westfield Center, OH, and Donald Morrison and wife Linda of Columbia Sta., OH; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Larry Young, Tom McAlister, C. R. May, and friends from the First Baptist Church of Killen. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Darby, Wayne Thompson, Arlis Hurn, and Jimmy "Marty" Morrison.
