Jessie Marion Thomas' Obituary
Jessie M. Thomas, Jr., 93, of Florence, passed away Wednesday , December 19, 2012.
Mr. Thomas was retired from Monarch Tile and served in the US Army in the European Theatre during World War II. He was preceded in death by a daughter Lorene Thomas and a sister Lilly Richardson.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, Saturday from 9:30 am until 11:30 a.m. The graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Wilson Cemetery. Matthew Brewer will officiate.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 66 years Gladys Thomas; a daughter Glenda Adams and husband James of Florence; a son Billy Thomas and wife Janet of Florence; grandchildren Brian Thomas, Amy Adams, Kelly Thomas and husband Ian and Chauncey Thomas and wife Tiffany; great-grandchildren Brodie and Ramzie Thomas, Braxton and Greyson Dodge and Ashtyn Thomas.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for their excellent care.
