Funeral for Jewell Nathan Adams, 85, of Hartselle will be today, March 18, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Sessions and the Rev. Virgil Crisp officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Mr. Adams, who died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital, was born May 7, 1921, in Houston County, Tenn., married Serena Jackson in 1943, and raised two sons and two daughters. Mr. Adams served with honor in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a retired contractor and entrepreneur. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by Serena, his wife of 61 years. Survivors include four children, Jeff Adams and his wife, Rhonda, of Sparta, Tenn., Rick Adams of Gatlinburg, Tenn., Gail Adams Shell and her husband, Andy, of Hartselle, and Teresa Adams of Hartselle; one brother, Alton Adams of Lincoln Park, Mich.; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
