Jewell Glenn House passed away on November 24, 2014 after several years of failing health. Jewell was born in Calhoun County, Alabama on January 30, 1928. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Lee House; his father Dewey A.; his mother Cora Lee; and three brothers John B., Bernard A., and Daniel P. Mr. House is survived by two children, Sharon Noell (Denny) and Bill House; two grandchildren, Shannon Hurst (Billy) and Ashley House; two great-grandchildren, Will Sparks (Heather) and Korey Sparks; one great- great-grandchild, Payten Sparks.
Jewell was a member of Center Star Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Visitation will be Wednesday the 26th from 9:00-10:00 at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral service will immediately follow. A grave side services with military honors by the American Legion Post 11 will be conducted at the Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville.
