*Funeral for Jim Sawyer, 74, of Hillsboro, will be Monday, July 16, 2007, at 11:00 am at Elliott Funeral Home, with Rev Charles Williams officiating. *Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, 6 until 8 at the funeral home. *Mr. Sawyer who died Saturday, July 14, 2007, was born on April 10, 1933, in Fayette to Travis and Mattie LouAllen Sawyer. *He is preceeded in death by his wife, Sarah Jane Sawyer, sister, Louise Lane, and brother, Dewayne Sawyer. *Survivors include four sons, Jimmy Wade Sawyer and wife Lenda of Trinity, Willie Sawyer and wife Janice of Hillsboro, John Wesley Sawyer of New Market, and Jason Sawyer and wife Angie of Trinity, three brothers, Clem Sawyer of Courtland, Donald Sawyer of Chalybeate, and Bill Sawyer of Trinity, three sisters, Louene Hobbs of Chalybeate, Sandra Dewberry of Chalybeate, and Faye Cottingham of Trinity, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. *Pallbeares will be nephews.
