Jimmy L. Baggett, 69, of Rogersville passed away Monday at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Baggett was a lifelong resident of Rogersville. He was a 1959 graduate of Lauderdale County High School and retired auto worker form Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Jimmy had many friends and enjoyed traveling throughout the country during his retirement. More than anything, he enjoyed his time at First Creek hill on the property he affectionately named "Rocking Years Forty". He will be deeply missed by us all. Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Shull and husband Dane of Huntsville, a son, Scott Baggett and wife Carla of Athens, a brother, Robert Earl Baggett and wife Gerri of Parkersburg, WV, a sister, Janie Roberson and husband Richard of Rogersville, his grandchildren, Reid and Presley Baggett, step-grandchildren, Valerie and Melissa Shull, and nephews, Brad and Brent Roberson. Visitation will be from 11AM-1PM Thursday at Elkins East Chapel in Killen, Alabama. Services will follow at 1PM. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville. Pallbearers will be Todd Gordon, Willie Murphy, Steve Graham, Terry Bobbitt, Ronnie Tucker, and Anthony West. Honorary pallbearers are Toby Sewell, Steve Garland, Dallas Embry, Jimmy Waddell, Ray Thigpen, Travis Slaton, and Dean Cosby.
