Funeral for Jimmy Wayne Cannon, 54, from Town Creek will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at Elliott Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, with Bro Hollis Retherford and Jeremy Terry officiating. Burial will be at Blackground Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Cannon, who died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, was born October 24, 1961 in Lawrence County Alabama to Robert and Vera Boston Cannon.
He loved farming and worked for Martin Farms. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his friends. He loved his 4 dogs, Pebbles and the Boys. Through all the pain he endured, he always kept a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Ray Lee.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Cannon; three sons, Jeremy Terry (Katie), Jerrod Terry and Jacob Nall;
five brothers, R. J. Cannon (Vera Mae), Jerry Cannon (Suzanne), Leon Cannon (Fran), Dennis Cannon and Carl Cannon; two sisters, Linda Cobbs (Glen) and Barbara Sue Wiley; two grandsons, Levi and Silas Terry; fifteen nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews;
Pallbearers will be Dillon Powell, David Smith, Frankie Smith, Tim Smith, Tommy Liles and Jerome Cannon; Honorary pallbearer will be Glen Cobb.
