Funeral for JoAnn Hinton, 76, of Decatur will be Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. George Sawyer and the Rev. Larry Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Hinton, who died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital, was born May 21, 1933, in Philadelphia, Miss., to Claude and Clara Beckham. She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church. She managed Michael Mason Formal Wear for 13 years. Survivors include her husband, Phillip Hinton; one daughter, Phillis Alldredge; two grandsons, Michael Alldredge and Daniel Alldredge and his fiancee', Lauren West; and two close cousins, Joyce Caracci and Mike Pope. The family request donations be made to the Decatur Dream Center, 312 8th Street S.W., Decatur, AL 35601.
