Funeral for John Lee Collins, 42, of Decatur will be Sunday, June 14, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Bowden officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Collins died Friday, June 12, 2009. He was born June 29, 1967, in Morgan County to James Alvin and Margaret Ernestine Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Alvin Collins; and two brothers, Terry Collins and Nathan Craig. Survivors include his mother, Ernestine Collins of Decatur; five brothers, Wayne Collins and his wife, Nysa, and William Collins, both of Decatur, David Collins, James Collins and Tim White, all of Athens; two sisters, Margaret Robbins and her husband, Shannon, and Gina Jones, both of Athens; three stepdaughters, Elizabeth Kerby, Lillian Kerby and Christine Ferguson, all of Moulton; stepmother, Caroline Collins of Athens; four nephews and three nieces. Pallbearers will be Steve Draper, Ray Draper, Jeff Wadell, David Collins, Jerry Collins and Jeff Collins.
