The graveside service for Mr. John W. Fowler, age 80, will be Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Railroad Cemetery in Wayne County, Tennessee with Tommy James officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10-12 at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence.
Mr. Fowler was an employee of the University of North Alabama. He is preceded in death by his father, Leander "Bunt" Fowler, his mother, Leslie Fowler, wife, Frankie Fowler, brother Richard Glen Fowler, stepson, Floyd Belcher, granddaughter Sherry Tayes, and brother-in-law Emmit Brewer.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Bennie Belcher (Doris), Judy Liles (Danny) & Thomas Belcher (Shelia); grandchildren, Michael Belcher, Bennie Belcher, Tim Belcher, Mary McFall, Jonathan Belcher, Gwen Morris and Lin Liles; sisters, Lucille Brewer & Wilma Olive (Bryce), sister-in-law, Mary Crews (Earl).
Pallbearers will be Lin Liles, Jonathan Belcher, Thomas Belcher, Danny Liles, Michael Belcher and Bennie Belcher.
The Fowler family would like to thank Alacare Hospice and Mitchell-Hollingsworth for the care given to John.
