Funeral for John Calvin Hodges, 88, of Decatur will be today, November 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Reverend Doug Hodges officiating. Visitation is two hours prior to the service with burial to follow in Sylone Cemetery.

Mr. Hodges, who died Friday, November 22, 2013, was born August 20, 1925, in Limestone County to Oscar and Martha Hargrove Hodges. He was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church. Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Wales Hodges; two brothers, the Rev. Walter Lee Hodges and Eugene Hodges.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Hodges Ziegler and Melinda Hodges Bennett (Richard); one sister, Donnie Mae Hodges; grandchildren, Heather Ziegler Barbee (Josh), Jonathan David Ziegler, Gayle Bennett Kirby (Carl), Katie Bennett Sanders (Drew); and great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Addison Barbee.
