Funeral Service for J. T. Tidwell will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 1:00 PM, at Elliott Funeral Home with Rev. Scottie Letson officiating. Burial will be at Donald Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Tidwell, who died Saturday, July 26, 2014, was born September 27, 1931 in Lawrence County to Garland and Dovie Culver Tidwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Opal Jean Martin Tidwell and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Tidwell (Misty) and Wayne Lovett (Rhonda) both of Town Creek; one daughter, Tammy Tolbert (Jeff) of Clourtland; two brothers, R. C. Tidwell of Leighton and Bryce Tidwell of Town Creek; six grandchildren, Danuelle Terry, Dara Bradford, Corey Tolbert, Nicky Lovett, Angela Simms and Heath Lovett; eight great grandchildren, Riley Terry, Alex Bradford, Gunter Bradford, Tara Frost, Tylie Romero, Dallas Lovett, Hunter Lovett and Raycen Simms.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Tolbert, Jerry Dale Tidwell, Johnny Wayne Tidwell, Nickie Lovett, Roy Tidwell, Dillard Tidwell. Honorary pallbearer will be Hillard Tidwell.
