John Henry Phelps, 77 of Killen, AL passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018.   He was native of Florence, AL and was a retired produce manager.  He served our county in the US Navy.

John was a Christian and was restored to Christ our Lord.  He passed from this life with the great understanding of unconditional love and forgiveness.

A graveside service will be Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mausoleum at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with military honors.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bruce W Phelps and Annie Marjorie Bowes Phelps; brother, Bruce Phelps, Jr.; sisters, Evellyn Hehn and Dorothy Anderson.

Survivors include his wife Mary "Kat" Phelps; son, John C. Phelps and wife Dana; grandson, JC Phelps; sisters, Bobbie Mitchell, Ruth Douthit; sister-in-law, Earline Phelps; step-daughter, Cindy Vickery; step granddaughter, Kristy Parrish and husband Chris; step-great grandsons, Sawyer and Skyler Parrish and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nikie Ross, Brandy Kress and Hollie Smith.  We were wonderfully blessed and very grateful for your loving kindness and comfort you gave to John and his family.
