John F. Welch's Obituary
John F. Welch Jr. age 87 of Florence passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2015. Visitation will be Friday March 6,2015 from 1:30 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will be at 3:00 in the Chapel with Joe Van Dyke officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son John Cole Welch.
John is survived by his wife Bettie C. Welch. One daughter Lyn Duncan (Don). One daughter-in-law Carol Colcock (Heath). One sister-in-law Jeanene Welch. Four grandchildren, James Duncan (Brittnie), Daniel Duncan, Brooks Welch and Kati Wadsworth (Grant). And two great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Magnolia Church of Christ. John was retired from TVA after 37 years. Also a member of I.B.E.W. for 64 years and a Mason of Florence #14 F&AM. He was a veteran of World War II.
John''s kind heart and friendship will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Magnolia Church of Christ.
