Funeral for John P. Wimberly, 79, of Hartselle will be Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Highway 36 with the Rev. John Laidley officiat-ing and Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bethlehem Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Mr. Wimberly, who died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at his residence, was born Feb. 17, 1929, in Franklin County. He was retired from the Alabama Highway Department with 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Wimberly; one son, Greg Wimberly; three sisters, Carrie Mears, Elouise Helms and Hazel Webb; two brothers, Melvin Wimberly and Russell Wimberly; four grandchildren, Chris Wimberly, Megan Wimberly, Tony Dillehay and Tonya Dillard; one great-grandchild, Carter Wimberly; and six stepgreat-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
