*Mildred Aldridge Montgomery, a lifelong resident of the Aldridge Grove Community in Lawrence County, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, after a brief illness. She was born to John H. Aldridge and Mary Slaten Aldridge on December 28, 1913. *She and her husband, the late J. Guy Montgomery, are survived by a sister, Mary Sue Aldridge Johnson of Florence; two daughters, Mary Ann Montgomery Wiley of Moulton and Martha Sue Montgomery Bryant of Jonesville, La.; four grandchildren, J. Stephen Wiley of Hartselle, Jan Wiley Smith of Moulton, John Timothy Bryant of Auburn and David Jackson Bryant of Long Island, N.Y.; and seven great grandchildren, Christopher Wiley and Katie Wiley of Hartselle, Morgan and Jordan Smith of Moulton, Mazie and Camilla Bryant of Montgomery, and Selma Bryant of Auckland, New Zealand. *Mildred, who never lived more than a stones throw from her birthplace, was a member of Aldridge Grove Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a caring community member and bying, generous and supportive matriarch of the family. *Funeral will be Friday, April 20, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Aldridge Grove Chuch of Christ with Bro. Jim Bryant and Bro. O.D. Bowling officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the chuch one hour prior to the service. *Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8p.m at the funeral home. *Palbearers will be Steve Wiley, Don Smith, Tim Bryant, David Bryant, Christopher Wiley, and Jackie McMillan.
