Joseph "Joe" Terry, 70, went to be with his wife in Heaven on May 26th, 2014. The Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Hollis Retherford officiating. Visitation will be Friday night from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
"Joe" was born on January 9, 1944 in Moulton Alabama to Jasper Aaron Terry and Cleazelle Owen Terry. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Patricia "Pat" Terry and brother Waylon Terry.
"Joe" was a 1970 graduate of The University of Alabama. After graduation, he worked at Heil Company for a few years, before farming with his family in 1979. In 1983 he went to work for Champion Paper and worked there until he retired in 2012 to be with his family., he was also the owner of several business in this area.
He is survived by two sons, Patrick D. Terry (Patsy) of Moulton and Matthew A. Terry (Dixie) of Troy; brother, Willard R Terry ( Elaine) of Moulton; six grandchildren; Hannah Terry Horton of Moulton, Mya, Alyssa and Sawyer Terry of Troy, Misty Daniels of Tuscumbia and Collin Burns of Moulton; three great grandchildren, Morgan and Hayvn of Tuscumbia and Landin of Moulton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Collin Burns, Greg Terry, David Terry, Justin Terry, David Gregory and Shane Lindsey
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donation be made to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society
