Funeral services for Joseph "JJ the Clown" McGinnis, 87 of Hillsboro, will be 1PM Friday, June 8, 2018 at Old Time Gospel Fellowship Church with Bro. Lee Tippitt officiating.  Interment will follow in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 4PM until 8PM at the church.

Mr. McGinnis was born July 7, 1930 in Michigan to Jim E. McGinnis and Nancy G. Bell Williams.  He passed away Monday, June 4 at his residence.

Mr. McGinnis, who was retired from GM, was an Independent Minister and professional clown.

He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy McGinnins.

He is survived by his son Donald McGinnis and sisters Nancy Landers and Ramona Gates.
