Joseph Lee Shelton
Decatur A celebration of life service for Joseph Lee Shelton, age 27, will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church with Brother Joe Holmes and Brother Steve Smith officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. A private burial will be at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Shelton, who died July 1, 2015, at his residence was born January 31, 1988. He was a junior at Athens State studying mathematics. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sally Creviston, Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and Calvin Shelton, Trinity, and sister, Katherine Shelton.
He is survived by his parents, Lisa Shelton, Decatur and Gary Shelton, Vinemont; grandparents, Albert Ridgeway and Doris Ridgeway, Decatur; aunts and uncles, Dejuana Sandridge (Jeff), Harvest, Dr. Lynn Ridgeway (Missy), Florence, Larry Shelton (Linda), Vinemont, Rhonda LouAllen (Ricky), Moulton, Donna Colwell, Rockville, Tenn., Tina Harrison (Shaun), Thompson's Station, Tenn., Colleen Harville (Tim), Christiana, Tenn., and Jason Shelton, Smyrna, Tenn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children Hospital.
