Obituary

Mr. Joseph Henry Wisniewski, age 77, of Florence, died at his home of natural causes.
The graveside service will be Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Florence Cemetery. The Rev. Andrew A. Sullivan of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, is assisting the family. Mr. Wisniewski was born March 21, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a meteorologist. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rolla School of Mines and began his career at McDonnell Douglas Corporation in St. Louis, Mo. He worked for many years at Reynolds Aluminum in Sheffield, AL, from which he retired. He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather who enjoyed baseball and the outdoors.
Mr. Wisniewski is survived by his wife Charlotte; daughters Kathryn Wisniewski, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Nancy Culberson, Durham, North Carolina; a son, James Wisniewski, Panama City, Florida, sisters Viola Postawko, Helen Leahy, and Irene Auchther.
He is pre-deceased by son Joe Wisniewski and grandson Bryan Culberson.
