Joy H. Easton, 51, died unexpectedly on December 12, 2009. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, she grew up in Athens, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in accounting. She became a CPA and pursued a career in the insurance industry in Dallas and Houston, Texas before moving to Florence in 2006. Joy is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Cale and stepfather William G. Cale, Jr. of Florence, father Eugene Holshouser and stepmother Anna Holshouser of Lexington, Georgia, brothers Scott Holshouser of Houston, Texas and Glenn Holshouser of San Antonio, Texas. A private memorial service for the immediate family is planned. The family requests that those so desiring may offer a remembrance in Joy''s name to the Campus Beautification Fund, University of North Alabama Foundation, Box 5113, Florence, AL 35632.
