Funeral for Joyce "Dee" Brookshire of Decatur will be Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Orville Collins officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Brookshire died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Brookshire; three sons, Monty and Bryan Smith and Riley Brookshire; one daughter, Theresa Mastin; four step-children, Carol Watson, Susan Beene, Bobby Hall and Belinda Whitehead; brothers, J.L., Frank, and Kenneth Smith; sister, Mary Sue Turney; grandchildren, Shohn Miller, Monty Poole, Heavlynn Chaput, Levi, Jake, Monica and Tori Smith, Nellie Brookshire, Julia Hickman, Tara and Justin Davis, Robby and Danielle Hall and Brandy Beene; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jo-seph and Clara Miller, Sydni Clayton and Triston Chaput.
