Joyce Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister. She worked in the antique business for over 20 years. She was an excellent homemaker and cook. She perfected the art of growing the most beautiful flowers. Her home and yard were always warm and inviting. But, her most cherished role she fulfilled was that of a mother and grandmother.
Affectionately known as "Mama, "Joyce Ann loved her family with all her heart and being. Her strength and will to live every day to its fullest was immeasurable. She treasured her time with her family and fought through years of illness to make more time possible.
Words are truly inadequate to describe the life and spirit of such a remarkable woman. She made even the simple moments, sacred memories to all those who knew her. She will forever be remembered, forever be missed and forever be loved.
The family would like to take this time to give its most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors who worked so tirelessly to give Joyce Ann the greatest care possible. But, we would especially like to thank Dr. Marshall Schreeder, Dr. Todd Broome, Dr. Michael Brown and Dr. Heather Haley. Their work and dedication to Joyce Ann throughout the years were invaluable. And last but not least, we would like to thank the outstanding nursing staff at Huntsville Hospital. You took care of us in the most trying of times and we love you all.
