Juanita Scoggins Holmes
Decatur Juanita Holmes, 93, went home to meet her Lord on Monday February 9, 2015. She was born December 25, 1921, to Clevie Young Scoggins and Richard Henry Scoggins. She was the widow of the late Jonnie G. Holmes. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Claborn and husband, Jerry, and two sons, John A. Holmes and David G. Holmes and wife, Cindy; four grandsons Jason, Craig and Will Claborn, and Preston Holmes. She was preceded by two sisters, Mamie Balch and Veina Ryan and three brothers, Charlie, Melvin and Jerome Scoggins.Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery.Pallbearers will be grandsons and Jerry Floyd Scoggins and Dennis Whitehead.
