Funeral for Julia Namie Hale, 91, of Decatur will be Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at noon at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Ray Remke officiating and Ridout's BrownService Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Rosary will be tonight at 5 p.m. with visitation following from 5:30 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Hale, who died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital, was born July 20, 1916, in Decatur to Marion and Elizabeth Namie. She worked at the Alabama Hosiery Mill and WestDecatur Elementary Schoolfor 22 years. She was a lifelong member of Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church. She was preceded in deathby her husband, WilliamHale; and six brothers, Charlie, Louis, Thomas, Joe, Ed and Moses Namie. Survivors include one son, David Hale, and wife, Janie; one daughter, Billie Hill; one brother, Ralph Namie; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
