Obituary

Funeral for Elese E. Sellers, 88, of Decatur will be Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rob Jackson and the Rev. David McKelvey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Sellers, who died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Cedar Springs Senior Retirement Facility, was born July 22, 1918, in Limestone County to George William Evans and May Belle Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Luther L. Sellers; her parents; two sisters, Frances Collier and Mary Love; and four brothers, Bill Evans, Leonard Evans, Ches Evans and Lester Evans. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Cathey (Ed) of Birmingham, Karen Beans (Ron) of Cullman and Wanda Hendrix (Dana) of Decatur; six grandchildren, Deanna Bellsnyder, John Cathey, Jana Davis, Jodi Caver, Shawn Hendrix and Tracey Hendrix; and eight great-grandchildren, Mason and Colton Bellsnyder, Kaitlin and Hannah Davis, Lauren and Brody Caver and Allen and John William Cathey. Pallbearers will be John Cathey, Charlie Bellsnyder, Jason Caver, Shawn Hendrix, Tracey Hendrix and Bragg Davis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund or to Hospice of the Valley.
