Obituary

Junos Wiley Putman Bud Putman, 87, of Lexington died Sunday at Glenwood Rehab. Center. Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2011, from 5-8PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2PM Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Herston and Rev. Bill Barlow officiating. Burial will be at Nebo Cemetery. Mr. Putman was retired from T.V.A. He was a member of Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He served in WWII as a member of the Medical Department in the European Theater of Operations. He was honorably discharged on December 4, 1945 as Private First Class Medical Detachment 351st Infantry. He was preceded in death by 6 sisters, one brother, and their spouses, and grandson, Josh Putman. Mr. Putman is survived by his loving wife Maelene Butler Putman; daughter, Vickie Putman Dollar (Ray); two sons, Larry Joe Putman (Becky)and Hal Donovan Putman (Roberta); five grandchildren, Kristie Doan (Jason), Michael Putman, Brad Manley (Jennifer), Ryan Manley (Nikki)and Brooke Curtis (David); seven great-grandchildren, Jayden Doan, Kennedy Doan, Hunter Manley, Josh Manley, Sophia Manley, Cole Manley, and Jazmine Curtis. Pallbearers will be Ray Dollar, Grant Roberson, Chris Putman, Jerry Putman, Jason Doan, Keith Putman, and Michael Putman. You are invited to sign the on-line guest registry at www.elkinsfh.com.
