Mr. Karl Felix Wade, of St. Florian, a long-time Federal Agent with ATF and a US Navy corpsman serving during WW II and Korea, passed away Wednesday March 1, 2012 at his home. He was 88.
The visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Elkins Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edward Markley O.S.B. officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Michael''s Cemetery.
Mr. Wade was a native of Tuscumbia and was a graduate of Deshler High School, St. Bernard College and Florence State College.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Louise Rasch Wade; children Karl E. Wade of Prattville, AL, Marian Mata of Savannah, GA, Susan Wade and wife Deana Deptuch of Middle Island, NY, Nora Willett and husband Ed of Columbus, OH, Tom Wade and wife Lenee of Chesapeake, VA, Rick Wade and wife Viki of Seattle, WA; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister Eleanora Marchbanks of Muscle Shoals; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wade was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Charles Wade, and a sister Clotilda Russell.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
