Kathy McCollum-Rios, 59, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at her residence in South Carolina.  Kathy was born in Lewisburg, TN to James Carey and Lessie Virginia Endsley McCollum.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Carey McCollum; paternal grandparents, James Denver McCollum and Lillian Haislip Daniels; and maternal grandfather, Ross Endsley.

She most loved being with her family.  Her bright smile and infectious laugh were contagious.  She loved gardening, caring for her husband and their pets, relaxing in the pool, being outdoors and hosting friends and family for holidays and special occasions.  She was generous and giving.

Survivors include: her loving husband, Leroy (Lee) Hopf, Jr.; children, Derek Rios of Rogersville, AL, Korey Watts (Stacy) of Hillsboro, Oregon, and Kelley Earp of Florence, AL; mother, Virginia McCollum of Rogersville, AL; maternal grandmother, Othella Endsley of Lewisburg, TN; brother, James Carey McCollum II (Kim) of Rogersville, Alabama; sister, Lessie Shimer (Scott) of Franklin, TN; aunt, Marie Richardson of St. Simons Island, GA; uncles, Vinal Endsley (JoAn) and Larry McCollum (Faylene) of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Wyatt, Peyton and Marshal Earp and Atreyu Watts; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and one great niece..

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel.
