Oliver, Kenneth R. The graveside service for Kenneth R. Oliver, 61, of Florence, was Wednesday in Moulton Memory Gardens. Brother Harold Fisher officiated.
Mr. Oliver, who died Saturday, April 18, 2009, was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Lawrence County.
He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Sheffield. He was a Vietnam veteran. He held the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Gurthe Oliver.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Oliver; three sons; one brother; one sister; grandchildren; five stepchildren, Kenneth Landers, Michael Landers, Debbie Gilchrist, Pam Holt and Ann Green; and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. He will greatly be missed by all the ones that knew him.
