L.C. Joiner, 82, of Elgin Crossroads, passed away October 16, 2008 at ECM Hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Joiner will be Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel. Bro. Garrison will officiate. Burial will follow at Butler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 2-4 p.m.
Mr. Joiner has lived in the Elgin Crossroad''s area for most of his life. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Joiner is survived by daughters, Reta Meoli of Las Vegas NV and Diane Shane of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren, Chris Topher, Michael and Tami; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Justin, Joshua, Hudson, Carson, Sydney and Morgan all of Las Vegas; sisters, Annie Snoddy and Ruby Whittoff of Florence; several nieces and nephews; long time loving companion, Mary Thompson and her sons Steve and James.
Pallbearers will be, George Cook, Steve Buckner, Danny Snoddy, Ronnie Foust, Earl Butler, and Kevin Butler. Honorary Pallbearer, Jerry Yocum.
The family wishes to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses at ECM Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thanks for the support of friends and family that was need so much.
