Laverne Black Steele, 87, of Danville passed away October 9, 2023 in Falkville. Her visitation will be on Friday October 13, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Elliott's-Brown Service funeral home followed with a service in the chapel with Pinky Tyler officiating. The burial will be at Lebanon cemetery.

She was born in Lawrence County, Alabama May 1,1936 to Mullin Black and Alvetta Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Franklin (Bill) Steele, and Grandson, Chris Steele.

Survivors include: Children: Wanda Ramer (Jim), Billy Steele, Charlotte Fischer, Jerry Steele
Grandkids: Sheree Harbison (Steven), Joshua Driver (Cruzana),  Great Grandkids; Nicholas Driver, Dakota Driver, Jayden White, Will Harbison, and Jack Harbison.
Pallbearers: Darrell Black, Steve Black, Terry Steele, Joshua Driver, Nicholas Driver, Dakota Driver

Loved to cook for others, especially cakes, and her kids, grand children and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Lebanon Church Of God in Speake, AL.
